There are three JCL members in dbcpfx.GTW.PROCLIB that are related to SMP/E APPLY processing. To perform SMP/E APPLY, execute only the member(s) that are required for your installation. See the following table for a list of the members.
Run the APPLY and APPMNT jobs as separate SMP steps. Do not combine them into one SMP step.

| APPLY | Installs the base function plus any dependent functions at the major or minor release level |
| APPCHK | Simulates an APPLY of PTFs and APARs so you can do troubleshooting before running APPMNT or EAPPLY |
| APPMNT | Applies a maintenance (PTF) release to an existing system |
| EAPPLY | Applies an emergency (APAR) release to an existing system |
