On Oracle Solaris SPARC, the installation software may ask multiple questions, depending on which products were selected for installation. Afterwards, a check is done to ensure there is enough disk space to install the software. This does not require any interaction unless there is not enough space. In this case, the installation notifies which file systems lack space.

  1. Start to install a Teradata® Tools and Utilities product.
The main install screen appears asking whether to remove packages or exit the installation process to free up space. Assuming space is available on the system, the rest of the installation is automatic.
  2. If a failure occurs, check the .log file and then contact your Teradata Customer Service Representative.
