  1. Go to https://support.teradata.com.
  2. Log in.
  3. Under the DOWNLOADS heading, select Update Your Software.
  4. In the left column, select Database and Applications.
  5. Select the Teradata Applications heading.
  6. From the Sub Category drop-down, select Viewpoint.
  7. Complete the remaining drop-down selections, and click Submit.
  8. Download the latest Viewpoint on VMware .ova file to a server in a particular folder (for example, ova-template-download).
    The filename looks similar to TERADATA_VIEWPOINT_XX.XX.XX.XX_SLESxx_SP3_ON_VMWARE_XXXXYYzzhhmmss.OVA
    The .ova file, which contains the template, is large (5GB) and may take time to download.
