The primary use of the Monitored Systems Web Service REST APIs is to programmatically configure systems for monitoring. The Monitored Systems Web Service REST APIs automate what otherwise has to be configured manually in the Monitored Systems portlet.
The APIs can be used to provision the following types of systems:
- Teradata system
- Viewpoint/Other managed system
- Teradata Machine Learning Engine
- Hadoop system
- QueryGrid
- Presto system
