Users provide the following information when logging on from a workstation-attached client:

Information Description
.logmech Specifies name of security mechanism that defines method by which user is authenticated and authorized. If mechanism is not specified, logon proceeds using designated default mechanism.
.logdata Only for external authentication. Specifies username and password. Optionally specifies username, profile, or role where logon user has access to multiple user identities, profiles, or roles.
.logon Required for Vantage authentication.

May be used for external authentication except when logon requires specification of user=, profile=, or realm= to differentiate among multiple user identities, profiles, or realms.

Specifies tdpid, username, password, and optional account string information.

Format for username and password depends on user sign-on method.
