Goal Privileges User Needs
Run GRANT CONNECT THROUGH statement to do the following:
  • Define trusted user (application logon user)
  • Identify associated proxy users and roles
  • Specify WITH TRUST ONLY option to prevent use of SET QUERY BAND statements that can change proxy user role assignments
 CTCONTROL privilege (system level).
Use SET QUERY BAND statement to set proxy user role GRANT CONNECT THROUGH privilege that specifies the user, role, and trusted user application
