- MODIFIES EXTERNAL DATA
- The function modifies data that is external to Vantage.In the event of a database error, the system does not redrive requests involving a function or external stored procedure defined with this option. For details about Redrive functionality, see Teradata Vantage™ - Database Administration, B035-1093.
- NO EXTERNAL DATA
- The function does not access data that is external to Vantage. This is the default.
- READS EXTERNAL DATA
- The function reads, but does not modify data that is external to Vantage.
