Example: UPDATE With a Join - Teradata Vantage - Analytics Database

The following example updates the employee table to give each employee a 5 percent salary increase using a join between the employee and department tables.

     UPDATE employee
     FROM department AS d
     SET salary = salary * 1.05
     WHERE employee.dept_no = d.dept_no
     AND   salary_pool > 25000;
