Each Business Continuity Manager process maintains the following two log files in /opt/teradata/bcm/logs/:

Log File Type Description
Error Contains all error, warning, and informational log messages for the process. The Active Sequencer Error log file contains error and warning level messages from all processes.
Debug Contains the same information as the Error log file and trace-level log messages.

Business Continuity Manager rotates these log files automatically. For example, if the log file example.log reaches 100 MB, Business Continuity Manager moves the log information to a file named example.log.0 and starts a new example.log file.

Business Continuity Manager continues rotating log files until they reach example.log.9, then archives those log files to /var/opt/teradata/bcm/oldLogs.
