Each Business Continuity Manager process maintains the following two log files in /opt/teradata/bcm/logs/:

| Error | Contains all error, warning, and informational log messages for the process. The Active Sequencer Error log file contains error and warning level messages from all processes. |
| Debug | Contains the same information as the Error log file and trace-level log messages. |
Business Continuity Manager rotates these log files automatically. For example, if the log file example.log reaches 100 MB, Business Continuity Manager moves the log information to a file named example.log.0 and starts a new example.log file.
Business Continuity Manager continues rotating log files until they reach example.log.9, then archives those log files to /var/opt/teradata/bcm/oldLogs.
