Immediate recovery
Business Continuity Manager uses active-standby configuration to achieve Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of seconds and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of few minutes to hours.
Failover and failback
You can configure Business Continuity Manager to automatically or manually failover to the standby system if the active system is unavailable. When the active system is restored, all requests are either automatically routed to the active system or an administrator triggers a manual failback.
Self-healing using QueryGrid
Business Continuity Manager automatically validates, re-syncs, and reactivates unrecoverable tables.
Content replication using QueryGrid Table Sync
Business Continuity Manager replicates changes made to tables by write requests that use any of the following tables as the source:
- Foreign server tables
- Volatile tables
- Global temp tables
