Business Continuity Manager Managed Routing can enforce data consistency across multiple Teradata systems operating asynchronously in parallel. Business Continuity Manager sends the client requests to the active system first, and if successful, replicates the requests on the standby system. The active-standby configuration keeps the systems near-synchronous, resulting in RTO of seconds and RPO of minutes to hours. If a system fails, Business Continuity Manager brings the other system up to date and continues processing the client requests with minimal impact to the user.

The tables written to use managed routing must be consistent, with the same data and table definition on all systems.
