- Select and do one of the following:
Action Steps Adding a managed routing rule - Select Add Routing Rule Mapping.
The Create Routing dialog box appears.
- Enter a name in the Rule Name field.
- Under Routing Type, click Managed.
- For Read-only routing, click one of the following to specify how Business Continuity Manager manages the read requests:
- Default: Sends the read requests to the system with the shortest work queue.
- Preferred: Sends all the read requests to the first system in the list. If that system is unavailable, the read session fails over to the next system in the list. Load balancing is not supported.
- Select the systems to send the read and write requests.
The system selected for the write requests must also be selected for the read requests.
- Turn on Access Upgrade to upgrade ACCESS locks to READ locks.
- Turn on Disable Change Data Multicast to disable CDM for the routing rule.
- From the Error Profile list, select an error profile name to associate with the routing rule.
- Select Save.
Adding a passive routing rule - Select Add Routing Rule Mapping.
The Create Routing dialog box appears.
- Enter a name in the Rule Name field.
- Under Routing Type, click Passive.
- Turn on Allow writes to managed objects if writes are allowed for objects managed in the data dictionary.
- Select the required Balancing Method.
- Select the systems to include in the routing rule.
- From the Error Profile list, select an error profile name to associate with the routing rule.
- Select Save.
Editing a routing rule - Select the routing rule you want to edit.
- Update the settings and select Edit.
Deleting a routing rule - Select the routing rule you want to delete.
- Select
and confirm the action.
- Select Add Routing Rule Mapping.
