Before starting maintenance on a Business Continuity Manager server, clients that are connected through that server must shift to the other Business Continuity Manager servers. For best practice, stop new connections on the Business Continuity Manager server endpoint several hours before the planned maintenance. However, the existing sessions on the endpoint are allowed to continue until they disconnect.
  1. In the Business Continuity Manager UI, select Components, then select Endpoints.
  2. Click "" to disable the endpoint.
Monitor the number of sessions connected through a particular endpoint using the Sessions screen in the Business Continuity Manager UI or using the STATUS command at the bcmadmin prompt.
PostrequisiteEnable the endpoint after the planned maintenance.
