Business Continuity Manager with Teradata SQL Engine 17.05 or later uses the CDM Streaming and CDM Multi-Stream functionalities.
- With CDM Streaming, the source system sends the change data information to Business Continuity Manager as the AMP runs the query. Business Continuity Manager forwards that change data information to the target systems, which store the data in a staging table. Once the data is received on the target system, the change data is applied as a single bulk operation.
- With CDM Multi-Stream, multiple connections are used to retrieve the change data from the source system and to apply the data to the target systems.
