Purpose

Enables or disables email notifications for a specific alert type.

Syntax

ALERT EMAIL SET <Alert Type> [ENABLE <Email Address> | DISABLE];

Parameters

Alert Type
Represents the unique number assigned to an alert.
Email Address
The email address that receives notifications when enabled, or stops getting notifications when disabled.

Usage Considerations

  • Use ENABLE to send notifications for the specified alert type to the given email address.
  • Use DISABLE to stop sending notifications for the specified alert type.

Example

The following example enables email notifications for alert type 101 to JamesSmith@teradata.com.

bcmadmin> ALERT EMAIL SET 101 ENABLE JamesSmith@teradata.com;
The notification email of Alert type 101 has been changed.

The following example disables email notifications for alert type 101 to JamesSmith@teradata.com.

bcmadmin> ALERT EMAIL SET 101 DISABLE JamesSmith@teradata.com;
The notification email of Alert type 101 has been changed.
