Using the BAR Setup portlet, you can configure custom alerts that are triggered for specific events. Refer to the following topics to configure alerts:
In the Alert Setup portlet, you can add alert actions so that the custom alerts send a notification, or take some other type of action, when a metric exceeds a threshold. After you add alert actions in the Alert Setup portlet, they appear in the BAR Setup portlet.
The types of alert actions you can choose include the following:
- Send alerts to the Alert Viewer portlet, which provides a consolidated view for all alerts configured at the enterprise level
- Send alerts through email or text notification
- Run a SQL query
- Notify SNMP system
- Enable configuring of Repository Backup Job Alerts
