General Use

This presents a high-level overview of the steps needed for incremental restore.

1. Have Teradata Support enable incremental restore (IR) on the source and target databases.
2. Verify that IR is enabled on both source and target databases.

3. Create IR-enabled backup job.

   • Creating or Updating a Job: Command Line (specifically adding the enable_backup_for_IR option in create_job)
4. Run IR-enabled backup.
5. Create IR enabled restore job.
