The alias() function creates an aliased teradataml DataFrame.

Teradata recommends using this function before performing self join using DataFrame's join() API.
Required arguments:
  • alias_name: Specifies the alias name to be assigned to a teradataml DataFrame.

Example setup

>>> load_example_data("dataframe", "admissions_train")
>>> df = DataFrame("admissions_train")
>>> df
