The RStudio Connections Pane makes it possible to easily connect to the data sources, and explore the objects and data inside the connection.
Connections Pane maintains history of connections for user to use in future. You can use these stored connections to create a connection to the selected Vantage cluster without explicitly typing in cluster name, username and password every time.
Using the connections stored, you can connect to Vantage using just one click button from the Connections Pane.
tdplyr 16.20.00.05 or later supports integration with RStudio Connections Pane using Teradata SQL Driver for R.
Connection to Vantage created by using connections interface in RStudio is the same as the connection created using td_create_context() function of tdplyr. RStudio's connections provides a means of exploring the data source once connection is established with Vantage. More information regarding R Studio connections can be found on http://support.rstudio.com/.
