You can install the Teradata Query Service package using these instructions or PUT.
You must be root to install this software.
  1. In the directory where the rpm is located, type the following command:
    rpm -ivh query-service-*.rpm
    The rpm installs the package into the default directory /opt/teradata/rest, which cannot be changed. The service starts after installation and after restarts. The service runs as the Linux user, query-service.
