Teradata Query Service requires Java 8, any version. Use the following instructions if needed.
  1. Go to Java SE Downloads.
  2. Download Java 8.
  3. Install according to instructions before installing Teradata Query Service.
    For SLES environments, Teradata Query Service can use the teradata-jdk8 package if installed. For RHEL environments, Teradata Query Service uses the version of Java it finds on the PATH.
