Using Workload Management

Teradata Vantage™ - Workload Management User Guide provides information about Teradata Workload Management, which enables database administrators (DBAs) to manage workloads and direct how Teradata Vantage accomplishes expectations. This document is intended as an overview for technical users. For advanced recommendations for implementing workload management, see Teradata® Active System Management Orange Book.

Teradata Workload Management is a performance tool to direct how Vantage accomplishes expectations using rules. A workload is a class of database requests with common traits whose access to the database can be managed with a set of rules.
