The Connections Health Check feature allows you to validate the following:
- Advanced analytics modules are installed and correctly configured;
- A given connection has the required permissions to use these advanced analytics modules.
By default, the Health Check feature checks the following advanced analytics modules:
- SQLE
- BYOM
- VAL
To view the health check:
- In the Connections list, select for a connection.It may take some time to run all the health checks and show the results.
For example, the following health check image shows that SQL and VAL health checks were successfully executed and are healthy. However, BYOM displays a number of problems:
- The first error indicates that the ONNXPredict function is not available. That is because the version of BYOM installed in the target database is 2.0, while ONNXPredict is only available with 3.0 and later.
While this isn’t a permissions error, it is very useful to show the analytics capabilities available in your system.
- The final three errors show that the user does not have “EXECUTE FUNCTION WITH GRANT ON” permissions on the target database and how to remedy this.
