ExtendedRespond

Purpose

Requests response data from the Teradata Database. Typically, it carries the current length of the input (response) buffer.

Usage Notes

When the last record from a spool file is sent in response to a start or continue request containing a Respond parcel, the spool file is deleted.

This parcel is generated by CLIv2 at the direction of the application.

Parcel Data

Whether the ExtendedRespond parcel is supported by the Database can be ascertained using the CLIv2 DBCHQE Extended‑response‑support query.
