Data Mover supports moving tables from Teradata NewSQL Engine / Teradata Database to Hadoop, and Hive tables from Hadoop to Teradata, using the Data Mover portlet or the datamove create command in the command-line interface. Data Mover uses either Teradata Connector for Hadoop (TDCH) or the Teradata QueryGrid Teradata-to-Hadoop command; Data Mover selects which protocol to use automatically.
Data Mover allows bidirectional data movement of objects between databases for specific database versions. See Teradata® Data Mover User Guide, B035-4101.
