The Dell R730xd chassis has six adapter slots, three low-profile slots (1-3) and three full-height slots (4-6). TMS Unity Director/Loader Model 8-81X and Expansion Server Model 8-81XE have:
- One optional Mellanox ConnectX-3 BYNET/InfiniBand adapter installed in slot 5.
- Up to five optional Ethernet adapters installed in adapter order I350-T4, X540-T2, X520-DA2, X520-SR2 and slot order 6, 1, 4, 3, 2.
