Your data center must have the following:
  • A broadband connection in and out of the building for Teradata use.
  • A customer LAN drop is required for all Analytics Nodes.
  • A dual-bonded or quad-bonded network adapter in the nodes of all systems on the fabric, if this Vantage system will be clustered with other Teradata systems. For redundancy, the ports used for bonding should be on separate adapters, and the LAN cable attached to each port should branch to different switches.

Your site team will need your LAN IP addresses, subnet mask, and aliases, including router information. This information is also needed for the private LAN for the BAR solution, if applicable.

CLAN Requirements
Analytics Nodes All Analytics Nodes require a CLAN connection.
Analytics Database Nodes The number of CLAN connections depends on customer-specific requirements.
QueryGrid If QueryGrid is clustered over the CLAN, no additional CLAN connections are required.
AppCenter Communication to the Analytics Database nodes is over BYNET.
