Use the following procedure to initiate a new Variable Transformation analysis in Teradata Warehouse Miner.

Click on the Add New Analysis icon in the toolbar.
Add New Analysis from toolbar
- In the resulting Add New Analysis dialog box, click on ADS under Categories.

Under Analyses, double-click on Variable Transformation.
Add New Analysis > ADS > Variable Transformation
The Variable Transformation dialog appears, in which you can define INPUT / OUTPUT options and initiate any of the Variable Transformation functions using the following sections.- Variable Transformation - INPUT - Transformations
- Setting Properties - Variable Transformation
- Setting Default Properties - Variable Transformation
- Variable Transformation - INPUT - Primary Key
- Variable Transformation - INPUT - Literal Parameters
- Variable Transformation - INPUT - Locking (Teradata Database)
- Variable Transformation - INPUT - Expert Options
- Variable Transformation - OUTPUT - Storage
- Variable Transformation - OUTPUT - Primary Index (Teradata Database)
