After you have installed NetBackup software on a media server, verify that you can access the NetBackup installation directory.
  1. On the media server where NetBackup software is installed, log in as the user running the DSA Network Client (clienthandler).
    The default user is dscuser.
  2. Change the directory to the NetBackup installation directory.
    cd /usr/openv/netbackup
    If there are permission problems, the NetBackup access module will be disabled on the media server.
  3. If you cannot change directory into /usr/openv/netbackup, ask your administrator to change permissions on that directory to 755.
