Ecosystem Manager integrates with Unity, Data Mover, and several load utilities, such as TPump and BAR. Ecosystem Manager monitors and controls resources, Unity handles all the SQL-based commands and bulk loads, and Data Mover provides data movement.

Unity Integration

Ecosystem Manager can integrate with Unity. When you install the Ecosystem Manager client on each of the Unity servers, the Unity servers self-registrate. When integrated, all Unity-managed resources are visible in the Ecosystem Manager portlets. You are also able to change some configurations of Unity-managed resources through Ecosystem Manager, such as controlling the state of tables and clearing alerts.

You can add workflows to archive Unity-managed tables. You can also create workflows to move a workload from one Teradata system to another by updating routing rules using Unity.

Data Mover Integration

Ecosystem Manager can integrate with Data Mover. Install the Ecosystem Manager client on the load servers where Data Mover is running to monitor the load jobs. Data Mover sends reports to Ecosystem Manager, including job start time, progress, and end time, as well as information on which tables are affected and how.

You can create workflows that perform dual loads with Data Mover.

TTU Integration

Ecosystem Manager can integrate with the load utilities FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump, BTEQ, and TPT. Install the Ecosystem Manager client on the servers where the utilities are running to monitor the load jobs. The utilities send reports to Ecosystem Manager, including job start time, progress, and end time, as well as information on which tables are affected and how.
