    Option Description
Maintenance Window Status Shows whether a maintenance window is open for the system, collective, cabinet, chassis, or component:
    • If a maintenance window is open, ON is displayed.
    • If no maintenance window is open, OFF is displayed.
Name Indicates the name used to identify the maintenance window.
System Limits the components to within the selected system. From the list, select the specific system, or you can select All to include all components in the Server Management domain. The default value matches the value selected in the Tree View.
Component Identifies the alias of the component in the Tree View on which the maintenance window is open.
Duration Specifies the length of time that the maintenance window is open. You can select from Hours, Days, or Weeks. The default value is 4 hours. The maximum value is 672 hours, or 4 weeks.
Start Time Indicates the date and time the maintenance window opens. The default value is the current date and time on the server; however, this can be changed to schedule the maintenance window in advance.
End Time Indicates the date and time the maintenance window closes. The default value is 4 hours later than the value in Start Time and can be changed using this option or by using Duration.
Comments Indicates any additional information about the maintenance window.
Active Maintenance Windows Specifies a list of the maintenance windows that are currently open or scheduled.
    Advanced
    • Apply to all: Places all components of the same object class into maintenance, when the check box is selected. Alerts generated for components with a matching object class are ignored.
    • Subsystem: Specifies that alerts coming from the component or components within the selected subsystem are ignored. This categorizes alerts by subsystem group alerts that are related by the hardware or software subsystem of origin. For example, if there is a recurring OS problem on a node, select the node, open a maintenance window, and select a subsystem of OS. Subsystem values include: All, Storage, Power, Node, OS, Database, Network, ServerMgmt, Client, and Other.
  4. Click Activate. A confirmation message appears.
  5. Click Close. The new maintenance window appears in the Active tab in the Maintenance Windows pane in the Overview tab.
