With a change request, you can have backups performed with the following options:
- As a full or incremental backup
- Online or offline
Online backups may take longer depending on system workload during backup.
Although able to perform full system-level backups, standard backups are also ideal for partial backups that support the following use cases:
- Object-level backups at the individual table or database level
- More frequent backups of tables or databases that change often
- Copy and restore data to an alternative table or database when there is adequate space
- Migrating data to a separate Vantage-hosted system on the same cloud platform is available as a separate service for an additional fee.
