  1. Edit the sync.properties file on the original-active:
    Property Value
    master.port 25368
    master.host Designated-standby
    • Use the master.port default port, 25368, unless it is unavailable.
    • The master.host setting is only used when Sync service is running in standby mode. Set as the designated-standby here in case failover occurs.
  2. Edit the sync.properties file on the designated-standby and standby-only servers:
    Property Value
    master.port Use same value as the original-active.
    master.host Specify as the original-active.
    The sync.isMaster property does not need to be modified. The failover process is responsible for starting the synchronization service as active or standby when a failover occurs.
