The Default Server Port Number and Default Server Name need to be specified only if the Teradata QS client library functions are being called from your own application. Otherwise, the Teradata Query Scheduler Viewer uses CLIv2 to find the IP address and port number of an active Teradata QS server.

1 From the Teradata Query Scheduler Operations window, click Configuration > Communications.

The Communications Parameters dialog box appears.

2 Change the following options s as desired:

Option/Control

Description

Default Server Port Number box

Specifies the default IP port number for a remote Teradata QS server. This value is used if a client does not specify a port number when opening a new communications session. The default port number is 3000.

Default Server Name box

Specifies the default network node name or address of a remote Teradata QS server. This value is used if a client does not specify a server name when opening a new communications session.

3 Click OK to close the Communications Parameters dialog box and return to the Teradata Query Scheduler Operations tool.
