Teradata’s integration with AWS machine learning requires users to have valid credentials for the selected AWS analytic services, such as the SageMaker deployed model endpoints.

Before using the API_Request in-database function, users are required to get AUTHORIZATION Keys from AWS cloud platform. API_Request needs the following configuration values to correctly connect to Amazon SageMaker or Amazon Forecast:
  • AWS Access ID
  • AWS Access Key
  • AWS region hosting the service, that is where the endpoint exists
  • AWS Session Token
    This is required in case temporary AWS credentials are used.
Users are responsible for protecting these credentials by following Amazon best practices, such as temporary session keys.

These items are passed as input parameters in the API_Request query.
