Compatibility
API_Request in-database function uses curl libraries present in SLES 12 OS to connect to Azure Machine Learning endpoints.
Minimum database version: 16.20. Requires SLES12SP3 on all TPA nodes.
Dependencies
API_Request in-database function uses OS supplied libraries, there are no dependencies.
The teradataml Azure extension library (tdapiclient) is a client side package using teradataml, so the compatibility matrix of teradataml related to Vantage is applicable.
For predict option, based on the location where models are installed:
- For Azure Machine Learning hosted models, tdapiclient requires API_Request UDF (1.1 version) to be installed on Vantage, to correctly do the model scoring;
- For models installed in the database on Vantage, tdapiclient requires BYOM related software installed to do the model scoring.
