Required Software on Teradata Vantage
Based on the connection to Vantage, the teradatagenai package requires the following minimum software versions be installed on Vantage:
- VantageCloud Lake on AWS with Enable Analytic GPU Compute and Open Analytics Framework.
Prerequisites for Using BYO LLM Functionality
To use the Hugging Face models with teradatagenai, ensure that the BYO LLM/Open Analytics Framework setup is available on VantageCloud Lake. Before proceeding, review the following prerequisite guides to ensure a smooth setup and integration process:

Required Software on Client
The teradatagenai package requires a minimum version of the following software be installed on the client:
- Operating Systems:
- Windows OS: Windows 7
- macOS: os x 10.9
- Linux: Ubuntu 16.04, CentOS 7.0, RHEL 7.1 with gcc 5.5, or SLES 12
The teradatagenai package only supports 64-bit version of these operating systems. - Dependent packages:
- Python version >= 3.9
- teradataml >= 20.00.00.08
- torch >=2.5.1
- transformers >=4.46.2
