You must have AWS Admin/User and Thales CipherTrust Manager (CM) Admin/Owner credentials. Use the EC2 Dashboard for this task.
- Sign in to the EC2 console as admin.
- Choose Target Groups, then Create Target Group.
- For Basic configuration, select these options:
- Choose a target type - Instances
- Protocol - TCP
- Port - 8443
- VPC - Select the VPC where the CipherTrust Manager or its proxy is deployed
- Choose Next.
- Register the targets.
- Select the EC2 CM or Proxy instances to make available.
- Choose Include as pending below.
- Select Create target group.
- Create the load balancer. See Step 3: EC2 Dashboard on AWS - Create Load Balancer.
