OAuth 2.0 device authorization is an option that your organization's system administrator can disable or enable in the VantageCloud Lake Console. Toggling this option controls Open Analytics Framework REST API access in the VantageCloud Lake Console to all VantageCloud Lake environments provisioned for the organization.
Once enabled, a user can:
- Generate JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) using OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization Grant flow and pass along as Bearer token
- Use teradataml (Python) package to access the Open Analytics Framework REST APIs similar to the following:

When disabled, use Personal Access Token based authentication to consume Open Analytics Framework REST APIs. See API to Set Authentication Token for supported API authentication modes.
- Sign in to the VantageCloud Lake Console.
- Select or Enable for OAF Auth sign in.
