VantageCloud Lake automatically upgrades components to the latest certified major, minor, or patch version on a regular schedule. Usually, the upgrades are performed on the following Core Data Path components:
- Primary cluster router
- Primary cluster
- Compute clusters
- Compute cluster router
- Compute Cluster Manager
- All OS and supporting software components
Typically, upgrades are done every month, and there is no need to download the latest version or access an upgrade tool to perform upgrades. Also, you maintain continuous access to the system during the upgrade.
If an upgrade fails for any reason, you continue to have uninterrupted access to the previous version. For more information about the latest features, see What's New.
