  1. Go to Data Copy > Copy Plan from the console.
  2. Select + to Create a copy plan.
  3. Fill the following details in the Create copy plan window.
    Item Description
Plan name Give a name for the Copy Plan
Source and target Choose the source and target sites and validate the credentials to proceed to the next step.
Objects The object browser presents objects in a hierarchical tree structure, enabling you to browse objects in the source environment and select tables for copying to the target environment.
    For each table, you can:
    • Copy full or partial table, using where clause.
Default setting is to copy full table.
    • Rename the table when copying to target database.
    • Relocate the table to a different target database.

Select the checkbox to copy the entire table.

Or use the icon beside each table to modify the table settings.

Copy method Teradata recommends using the foreign server on VantageCloud Lake.

Check the Execute Foreign server on target.

Plan settings You can edit the default plan setting if required.
The table setting always has precedence over the Plan setting.
  4. Select Create.
You can see the created copy plan listed in the COPY PLAN view.
    • You can run up to 20 copy plans concurrently, but only five tables can be copied at a time using QueryGrid.
    • Run a Copy plan any time and as frequently as needed.
    • You cannot schedule a Copy plan.
