You can now have immutablity of backups on AWS environments. Contact the Teradata account team to configure your AWS accounts to have immutability of backups. Once configured, all the backups you create will be immutable until the specified retention period. The immutability functionality protects your backups from modifications or deletion either accidentally or by malware attacks before the defined retention period.
Immutability of backups results in additional usage charges.
