- Users are cautioned to use these APIs sparingly and instead rely on system determined optimal settings as optimal settings vary by individual statistic.
- Settings can be applied at different levels including database, table, and individual statistic by specifying one or more non-null values for parameters DatabaseName, TableName, or SCOID.
- Use API SelectAutomatedStats to determine the SCOID value for an individual statistics.
- In addition to objects marked semi-autonomous with the AUTODBA WITH CHECK syntax option, this API can also be used in conjunction with objects marked fully autonomous via the AUTODBA option (no WITH CHECK).
