As described in the following table, the MONITOR SESSION request returns both the PEState and AMPState response values. A client performance monitoring application interprets the meaning of the PEState and AMPState combination, which is displayed as the session state in the client application.
The session state is interpreted by the client application, not returned by a PM/API CLIv2 or Teradata JDBC Driver request.
