Compiling and Linking Routines on IBM AIX - Parallel Data Pump

Compile Syntax

Use the following syntax example to compile a C INMOD or Notify Exit routine on an IBM AIX-based client.

where the following is true:

cc

Call to the program that invokes the native UNIX C compiler

-qmkshrobj

Creates a shared object from the generated object files

-q64

Flag to build 64-bit shared libraries

-o

Specifies the output file name

shared-object-name

Specifies the resulting shared object module

This is the name specified:

• The INMOD modulename parameter of the IMPORT command of the Teradata TPump job script.
• The EXIT name parameter for the NOTIFY option of the BEGIN LOAD command of the Teradata TPump job script.

The shared-object-name can be any valid UNIX file name.

sourcefile.c

UNIX file name of the source file for the INMOD or Notify Exit routine
