At the Restart Database step, you can choose:
Option Description
PUT Restart Database

The PUT Restart Database option first shuts down the database and verifies that all nodes are in a down PDE state. Once the state is verified, the step runs the vconfig command to create a new .gdo file from vconfig.txt. Then, the step starts the database and verifies the PDE state.

Manual Restart Database

Manual Restart Database requires the user to run the vconfig command to create a new .gdo file from vconfig.txt and then restart the database.

Restart Database Optimal State

The Restart Database step requires all TPA nodes and HSN to be in the optimal state. If the nodes are not in the optimal state, the Restart Database step prompts to do a Manual Restart Database.
State TPA Nodes HSN
DOWN DOWN/HARDSTOP DOWN/HARDSTOP
UP RUN/STARTED DOWN/STANDBY
Restart Database requires a database shutdown and restart.
