The Start Teradata Database step is the first phase of starting the database. This phase may take from 1 to 10 minutes depending on the number of nodes configured. If PUT has not continued on to the next step within this time frame, the PDE start-up routine is in a hung state. Shut down all open programs and reboot the system. It may also be necessary to rerun PUT when the system restarts.
