By default, TDput is authenticated only on the master node when the user logs on to the main screen. You can instead require user authentication on all nodes being modified in a single operation. This feature requires that all affected nodes have the same username and password. The username must be root, the tdput user, or a member of the TDput group.
  1. On every node including the TDput master node, in /opt/teradata/TDput/data/KeyDistPw.txt, change the 0 to 1.
The Key Distribution step of each operation prompts for a username and password.
