A massively parallel processing (MPP) system is made up of two or more nodes. The local node where you first install PUT becomes the “master node” and the other nodes become target nodes. Any node can be the master node.

Before installing TDput, determine the version of PUT installed on your system:

To display the versions of any installation, run:

rpm -q TDput

Follow one of these procedures:
If your current installation is: Then
PUT version installed is TDput 3.04.06.17 or later
  • Run Install/Upgrade PUT from one of your nodes.
  • Select all nodes in the system to upgrade to a newer version of TDput.
No PUT installed
  • Install TDput on one of your nodes.
  • Start TDput on that node and run the Install/Upgrade PUT operation.
  • Select the remaining nodes to install TDput on all of them.
