COPYSJI

Purpose

The COPYSJI parameter enables logic to allow System Join Indexes (SJIs) to be copied to a different database.

Syntax

Usage Notes

This parameter is only needed for ARC 14.10 releases that are running with JIRA ARC-8522. If this parameter is used with a version of ARC 14.10 that does not have ARC-8522 installed, ARC will fail with the following fatal error:

*** Failure ARC0004:Sorry, I do not recognize parameter COPYSJI.

For 15.0 and higher, the COPYSJI runtime parameter is not needed to enable the logic to allow System Join Indexes to be copied to a different database as that logic is integrated into ARC 15.00 and will be the default behavior.

The ARC logic to copy SJIs is dependent on DBS DR 164709. DBS DR 164709 must also be enabled to allow the SJIs to be copied. The DBS logic is integrated into V15.00 and will be the default behavior. DBS DR 164709 has also been back-ported to V14.0 and V14.10 and must be enabled by setting general DBSControl flag #361 (DumpSJIWithoutDBName) to TRUE.

If the logic is not enabled on either side, the SJIs will not be copied to its intended target database. Both sets of changes must be enabled during both the ARCHIVE step and the COPY FROM step. The following is an example of syntax:

arcmain COPYSJI < in_script > out_file
